As of 2026, more than 85% of graduate students receive scholarships. Financial support includes university-funded scholarships as well as scholarships provided through the BK21 Program, the SW-Centered University Project, TA positions, and other funded programs.
- Academic Excellence Scholarship: Full tuition + admission fee
- Graduate Research Assistant (RA) Scholarship:
- Level 2 RA: KRW 300,000 per month + living allowance provided by the academic advisor (1 year)
- Level 3 RA: KRW 300,000 per month (6 months)
- Graduate Teaching Assistant (TA) Scholarship: KRW 464,400 per month for 4 months during the semester
- KNU International Graduate Scholarship: Full or half tuition (for outstanding international students)
- SW-Centered University Project & PRIME Project TA Scholarship: KRW 400,000 or more per month for 4 months during the semester
- BK21 Scholarship: Master's: KRW 1,000,000/month, Doctoral: KRW 1,600,000/month, Doctoral Completion: KRW 1,300,000/month
- BK21 Performance-Based Incentive:
- Performance incentives are awarded for outstanding achievements, including publications, weekly research activity reports, program participation, promotional activities, patents, and other accomplishments.
- BK21 Outstanding New Graduate Student Scholarship:
- Admission incentive scholarship for KNU undergraduate alumni entering graduate school: One-time payment of KRW 1,000,000
- Scholarship for students in the Education & Research Group linked program and outstanding international graduate students: One-time payment of KRW 2,500,000
- KNU Ph.D Fellow Scholarship: KRW 10,000,000 per person per year
- Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA): KRW 5,000,000 per person per year
