About the major

What is ABEEK?

ABEEK is a program administered by the Accreditation Board for Engineering Education of Korea to nurture creative, field-adaptable, and internationally recognized engineering professionals. Students graduating from our department, which has obtained this accreditation through a rigorous review process, are recognized as having the qualities needed to become global talent in the fields of computer science and software.

  • Graduation is possible when both the above graduation requirements and Kyungpook National University's graduation qualification standards are met at the same time (if the KNU graduation qualification standards are not met, the student is processed as "completed").

Contents of Graduation Portfolio

  • Compose an individual academic portfolio for each prospective graduate by including materials that reflect the fulfillment of graduation requirements
  • Upload to the public server after checking the Advanced Computing notice on the department website (※ Prospective graduates need to check frequently)
  • Extracurricular activities (including 3 or more): The following items are recognized upon submission of supporting documents and registration in KEESS (non-curricular area)

Guidelines for Transfer Students, Students Changing Majors, and Students Advancing from the School of Undeclared Majors

  • Submission of the "Application for Approval of Courses Completed at a Previous University (Department) or Other University" is mandatory: please refer to the Advanced Computing notice on the department website.
  • When registering for courses, students are advised to give priority to required first- and second-year courses.
