Research Scholarship

  • Application Period: February and August. An email will be sent to BK participating professors to select the participating (applying) graduate students
  • Support Details: The research scholarship will be provided to selected graduate students among the participating graduate students
  • Eligibility Criteria: Full-time graduate students of participating professors who are not enrolled in the four major insurances
  • Eligibility Classification: Eligibility classification (However, periods of leave of absence and military service are excluded when calculating the period)
  • -Master's students who have not been enrolled for more than 2 years
  • -Doctoral students who have not been enrolled for more than 4 years
  • -Integrated master's and doctoral program students who have not been enrolled for more than 6 years
  • Integrated master's and doctoral program students are classified as doctoral students from the 5th semester
  • Support Amount: Master's 1,000,000 KRW per month, Doctoral 1,600,000 KRW per month, Doctoral candidates (completed coursework) 1,300,000 KRW per month
  • Support Method: Account transfer to an account in the recipient's name every month

International Conference Participation Expenses

  • Eligibility Criteria: BK participating graduate students and early-career researchers (BK participating professors cannot travel alone and must be accompanied by a participating student)

  • International Conference Recognition Criteria (must meet all three):
  • 1. Participation of more than four countries
  • 2. More than 20 oral presentation papers in total
  • 3. More than 50% of the oral presentation paper presenters must be affiliated with foreign institutions (however, if held domestically, more than one-third)

  • Paper Presenters (Oral Presentation, Poster Presentation) Support Details:
  • 1. Conference registration fee/transportation expenses – Paid by the research fund card of the Education Research Unit
  • 2. Accommodation expenses/daily expenses/food expenses – Transferred to the recipient's account

Publication Fees

  • Eligibility Criteria: BK participants who publish in SCI(E) journals or domestic academic journals as authors
  • Support Details: Paid by the research fund card of the Education Research Unit
