The institute was established to conduct systematic research on information and software applicable to various academic fields and to contribute the results to the community.
This research institute connects each professor with various domestic and international research institutes or companies so that professors can study and solve various problems in software technology. In particular, we plan to focus on developing strategic technologies to secure global competitiveness in each field, not on technology development at the level of advanced countries, and we are confident that these efforts will serve as a cornerstone to strengthen industrial competitiveness by enhancing national technology levels.

Software Disaster Research Center Homepage

The Software Disaster Research Center, organized by the Korea Research Foundation and supported by the Ministry of Science and ICT, was selected as the Engineering Research Center (ERC) in 2021. The Software Disaster Research Center conducts research with the aim of developing a software disaster management framework to quickly detect and respond to software disasters and prevent recurrence. The research will be conducted for about seven years from June 2021 to February 2028, and will receive 15.85 billion won from the Ministry of Science and ICT for research expenses.
