About Lab.
(BCMI Lab)
- We share the vision of “understanding the information processing process of the brain and realizing machine intelligence that mimics it”.
- We research “deep learning”, an artificial intelligence technology that mimics the brain, and “machine learning” that implements human learning capabilities.
- We aim for challenging research that overcomes the limitations of current “deep learning” and “machine learning”.
(Main research topic)
- Development of machine learning technology for integrated processing of visual and linguistic information: Development of image-text matching technology to comprehensively understand image and text information
- A study on how to overcome the limitations of deep learning technology: few-shot learning and adversarial defense
- Research on the development of new learning algorithms: Securing biological validity by overcoming the limitations of the error backpropagation learning method, which is a core deep learning algorithm, developing a learning method with increased computational/memory efficiency
